Happy Baby!

Here are a couple of videos we took of Jerzie on Saturday night while we had her. She is using some new words in the first video, and it just cracks us up. The second video is just of her playing with Aunt Laurie.

Extra Day Off!

If you read Moms blog then you know why I had an extra day off again this week. If you don't, then click HERE to see why she had to go to Buffalo today and why I went with.

We got home early so I decided to use my new mixer for the first time.

I LOVE IT!!!

I made oatmeal cookies. One reason so I could use my mixer, another so one of my managers at work will stop whining about bringing in oatmeal cookies. He has been giving me a hard time since before Christmas.

I sure hope he works tomorrow. If he doesn't I won't hear the end of it.

I am sure there are other people that will enjoy these cookies! I made a double batch so Chris could get his fair share.

What I Bought!

I may have bought Jerzie a couple of things. I don't want to give away what I bought because I think I am going to save them for Valentines Day. This print is from one of the items I bought.

I bought this game for Chris. It was marked 19.99 and I got it for 5.99. He can take it to work with him and play it on his lunch break.

I bought a few scrapbook items. Believe it or not I went to Michael's and to A.C. Moore and only bought two sheets of scrapbook paper, and the paper wasn't even for me. It was for Chris. They had Jimmie Johnson scrapbook paper. (Thanks Mom)

I bought these cute snowmen. I have an idea for them. I will have to see if it will work. They were marked 19.99 and I got them for 3.99.

I also bought this purse.

Well really this was the second purse I bought yesterday. I found a purse I liked at Marshals and bought it. Then we went to Value City and I liked this purse much better. So before we came home we went back to Marshals so I could return it. I can't wait for spring so I can use it. We had a fun day.

Special Day!

Today is a Mom and Me day. We spend the day together shopping in Erie. Mom and I have been taking Martin Luther King Day off for quite a few years. We always seem to find great deals. The trunk is usually full and we are ready to come home, but we have a great time. Mom and I don't get to spend a lot of time together just to the two of us, so we both look forward to Mom and Me days!!

Well really she didn't give it up. She switched days with the day care lady, so mom will have her tomorrow. I will post all of my bargains tomorrow.

500th Post!!!

Winter is back. Here is a view out one of our windows taken just a few minutes ago. They are calling for 1-2 feet of snow by tomorrow.

Today is our 5ooth post. We can't believe that we have posted that many times since July of 2006. We decided a while ago that we would have a giveaway for our 500th post. We wanted to have something special that we both were involved with. This is what we came up with.

Chris made the frame out of old wood from one of our remodeling projects. I did the 3 snowman stitcheries.

Two Favorites!

Here are some pictures of two of my favorite snowmen. They were made by the same person a few years ago.

Mom and I had been going to a country store for many years. This is the 2nd Christmas that it hasn't been open. We could always find the perfect gift there. There were a few times we went that I had to go out and sit in the car because she found something she wanted to buy me.

Even though this little guy is holding Christmas lights I still leave him up for winter.

Look at that face. He is just too cute to put away.

This snowman is smaller than the first one I showed you, but he is just as cute.

This is what we are going to look like this weekend if we go out any where. The weather isn't going to be very nice in our area.

Re ~ Organizing!

I got this cool label maker from Kim, Tabatha and Jerzie for Christmas. I have been working on re ~ organizing my scrapbook embellishments.

This is what the printed labels look like.

I bought these small containers at Joann's. They are 40% off right now. My brads and eyelets fit in them perfectly.

I found these small plastic jars at Big Lots. They were 8 for $1.00.

I put all of my different colored buttons in them.

I also found this storage bin for $1.00. The jars fit in it perfect.

I still have more re ~ organizing to do, but it should be easier to find what I am looking for now.

Perfect Match!

Here is a picture Chris took of me to show you how great my New Bag looks with my jacket. Mom bought me the jacket a couple years ago for Christmas. I got the bag this year for Christmas. Sad Day For Jerzie!

Jerzie is going to be lost tonight when she comes over. We packed all of the Christmas toys that she has been playing with away. Check out the videos that we took over the holidays.

Well, after our last visitors for the holidays left last weekend we didn't have time to get the tree taken down, so we are doing it tonight.

We don't think the tree really wants to leave us.

It is sprouting new buds everywhere.

This has happened to one of our trees one other time.

We wonder if it is because we buy our trees on the same day that they are cut.

It is still drinking about half a gallon of water a day.

Maybe we should just decorate it for Valentine's Day!

I took these pictures today in our back yard when I got home from work. Can you see the little bit of purple poking out on the left hand side? You may have to enlarge the picture to see it.

These primroses are in the new garden that we built last year for my birdbath that I got for my birthday. I guess they made it!

This is our backyard. We never see grass in January. We live in New York! Spring doesn't come until at least April around here.

I am so hoping this doesn't mean we are going to have a LONGER winter!!! How is your weather?
