Visiting Grandpa!

We went down to Dads on Friday to put the blade back on the lawnmower. Jerzie and daddy were there when we got there. Jerzie LOVES to be outside, so we all went outside while Kim and Chris put the blade back on the mower.

I painted this little guy for dad for his birthday a few years ago. He puts him up in the yard every year. Jerzie loves his fishy.
Dad had to try the sharpened blade out to see if it was OK. Can you believe how green his lawn is?

He had a flat tire so he couldn't go too far.

Jerzie loved that she could just run and play around grandpas lawn.

Grandpa was chasing her and telling her he was going to get her.

She is gone!!!

She is trying to learn how to blow bubbles. Daddy bought her spill proof bubbles. Mommy came down when she got out of work.
Since day one Jerzie has love to be scared. If you hide from her she laughs when you jump out at her. She will say do it again. Daddy tells her he is going to drop her and she just grins at him.
He didn't drop her. I thought this picture was so funny. You should hear her giggle when daddy does this to her.

Jerzie took this picture. I sat the camera down for a minute so I could help her and she pressed the right button. Can you see her little finger? Jerzie Shea you are growing up too fast.

Bloomin' Tuesday!

We don't have very much blooming in our yard as of right now....
....so these Tulip pictures were taken at a local park.

We stop there almost every year to take a few photos.

We love the bright colors of these ones. Remember to click on each picture if you want a closer look.

I Spoiled Myself!!

Mom and I went to the 14th annual 'Springtime in the Country' Craft show. It is the area's largest and best spring classic and contemporary craft event. It has become the show where artisans debut their new lines for the year.

I can't show you most of the stuff that I bought at the craft show because I bought Mother's Day gifts and a birthday gift. Since I haven't given them away yet, I don't want to give it away.

I couldn't resist this cute flower for my entry way.

I bought these two for us to hang our keys on.

After the show we made a few stops.

I got all of these T-shirts for $2.99 each at AC Moore. We are working on a project. When we get it done we will show it to you.

We went to Kohl's and I got these 5 shirts for $5.00 each.

I got 2 pairs of skimmers. (Shorts/Capri's that go just below the knee) I love the flower design on the one pair.

And a new pair of gym shoes. I got everything from Kohl's for $108.00! What a bargain!!! We also went to Target. I bought the body soap we like to use (Walmart doesn't carry it anymore) and a special travel mug. I will have to show it to you soon. Mom and I always have a nice time when we get to do things together.

When I got home and showed Chris what I bought he said "it was about time I bought stuff for ME!!"

Pet Peeve About Spring!

This tree is in our backyard and its branches are over the driveway. We walk across the driveway to get to the back door.

So....

We bring these in on our shoes. Even if we wipe our feet good they seem to stick to the bottoms of our shoes.

What Are They Thinking??

Even though we don't have an evened out lawn from the work the city has been doing and the grass seed they planted isn't growing,

they found it necessary to come by and put mulch around the tree that they put grass seed around when they planted it.
They didn't fix the tire marks and dips in the lawn and they didn't rake the lawn or add enough dirt.

But they gave us mulch!! Thanks for nothing!!

I guess we will have to make another phone call.

Sorry!

Momma bird!

We had to move this bird nest this weekend so we could use dads ladder. We felt so bad. She put a lot of hard work into it.

We felt even worse when we saw that she had already laid her eggs.

We left it in about the same spot and went and did a little work in the yard. Dad saw Momma bird come back to the nest. We hope she still takes care of her babies.

Another Stitchery!

I loved this picture when I saw it and knew that I had to do it. I love Black Eyed Susan's.

Here is a closer view of the watering can. I added a metallic fiber to my embroidery floss for the watering can.

Also a close up of the flowers. I really enjoy doing these. I watch TV and do them a lot of the time. We have had great weather for the past few days. We hope you are having some good weather too.

Time Flies!

We can't believe that we haven't blogged since Wednesday. Now that the weather is nicer it seems we aren't in the house much. Chris is back on his normal shift again, so we are trying to get back in the routine of him being home for dinner and actually having time together again. (Which I love)

While I was out puttering in the yard I saw this rock and had to take a picture. It looks mad. It is in a pile of rocks that we didn't use in our garden last year. I think we hurt its feelings. We will have to find a special spot for it this year.

We have been trying to visit every ones blog. Sometimes we don't have time to leave a comment, but are very grateful for the ones you leave us.

Back For More!

We spent the day with Dad and Sharon today. They had an appointment with a new doctor today so they asked if I would go with them. The doctor wanted to talk to us about a Stem Cell Transplant. Click HERE to learn more about this. It is a pretty interesting and beneficial procedure for cancer patients. We left home at 9:30 AM and got home at 4:30. He also had to have an E.K.G., a chest X-ray and some blood work today, so he was pretty tired by the time we got home.

Free Is Good!

Do you drink Pepsi?
Are you saving your Pepsi Points?

We are!

Chris loves when Pepsi runs these promotions. He usually gets free T-shirts. "what's better than a free T-shirt he says" He has a friend at work that takes bottles from work for the 5 cent refund and gives him the caps. The promotion began February 1st and runs until November 15th.

So far we have ordered 2 MP3 players, (one for each of us) 175 points each
2 Armbands for the MP3 players, 75 points each
and a set of ear bud headphones. 50 points

The MP3 players came with headphones but they aren't comfortable for Chris to wear at work for 8 hours.

It's not too late to start collecting points.

Check out all of the stuff you can get at Pepsi Stuff.com
