Photo Shoot!

When we had Baby J. for our hour on Wednesday, we had a St. Patty's Day photo shoot.

Mommy and Daddy bought Baby J. the St. Patrick's Day shirt and made sure it was in the diaper bag when she came over. The shirt says "Mommy's Good Luck Charm".

You can sure tell that her Daddy came in the room.

We know this post is early, but we have a lot we have to post tomorrow.

Quick Road Trip!

Chris picked me up from work this afternoon and we went to Erie. We had to go to Lowe's for a couple of things for the dinning room. We also had to go to Best Buy for something. So we went to dinner. (as long as we are here we might just as well EAT!!)

I had Chicken Alfredo.

Grilled chicken tossed with fettuccine and fresh alfredo sauce.
I love it. The chicken has a really great flavor.

Chris had Steak & Portobello Mushroom Alfredo.
Grilled marinated steak medallions, served with fettuccine tossed in a portobello mushroom alfredo sauce.
Chris says it is really good.

Of course we had the salad and bread sticks too.




We will post what we bought for the dinning room soon.

I Love This Man!

I am one lucky woman. I am taken care of so well. Chris is a person that would do anything for anyone, but his wife is most important to him. When something is bothering me, it seems to bother him more. He is a very special man and he takes care of me so well. Sometimes I seem to take him for granted and I feel really bad when I do that. Some people don't believe in soul mates. I don't know if I believe in them either, but I do know that we are meant to be together!! Thank you for taking such good care of me Christopher!!

YUK!!!

This is one of the worst things about springtime. All the mess left over from winter. These piles are from shoveling and snow blowing the driveway. What a mess all the salt and dirt that falls off of the car leaves behind. It warmed up to almost 60 today!!! Of course after all the snow melts, we have to start cleaning up the yard and the gardens (YEAH). I'm sure we will still get more snow. It always seems to snow on St. Patrick's Day.

Spring???

We happened to notice some green showing up close to the house. So I had to take some pictures. Could it be that spring is on the way? It officially starts 1 week from tomorrow.

Update on the dinning room.

Chris has started to put the new texture on the walls.

I am putting on the joint compound and then using a piece of plastic to get some texture. After it dries for 30-45 minutes, I am going back over it with a 8" compound knife to smooth out the high spots.

This is the archway to the living room.

I should be done with the walls by tomorrow. I would like to finish sanding the moldings and baseboards on Wednesday and hopefully get everything primed by Friday.

I hope to start painting next Monday.

(After taking the weekend off to spend time with my wife;)

Jimmie won the race today!!!

After the bad start he had at Daytona, he is doing a lot better.

We tried a new recipe this weekend.

Chicken Enchiladas with Tomatillo Cream Sauce

It is a Paula Deen recipe. It can be found in her May-June 2006 cooking with Paula Deen magazine. It tastes as good as it looks.

We also had homemade Guacamole.
