We thought we would start showing you some pictures from our weeks vacation in the Adirondacks. It takes us about 8 hours to get to Lake Placid from our house. We made a few stops on the way this year so it took 9 hours. We left home at 8:30 AM and got to Lake Placid at 5:30.
We stopped for lunch at a public fishing spot in Watertown. This cute little family pulled up while we were eating lunch. The little boy was so excited about getting in the canoe. He just put a smile on our faces.

He thought it was pretty fun to take off from the shore. He even had his own little paddle. I just couldn't help myself, I had to get a couple of pictures. .jpg)

Chris stopped a couple of times so we could get pictures of the leaves. We were so surprised how bright they were. When we left home our leaves were still green. .jpg)
We ate at our favorite restaurant when we got to Lake Placid and walked around downtown to see how much had changed. The only thing we really noticed was that our second favorite restaurant isn't there anymore. :(

We went back to the motel to relax and get rested. We also planned our next day. We will be showing you pictures and telling you the stories during the next couple of weeks.

What beautiful scenery! I can't give over how blue that lake is (reminds me of the color of Lake Tahoe!)

Oh, these photos are beautiful! Our color just didn't have its usual pizazz this year - so thanks for sharing!! Isn't it fun to see little kids who are just so excited? Cool.
