Last Garden Done!

We worked outside in the yard most of the day Sunday to get the mulching done and the yard picked up. We are very happy that it is done. Everything looks so much nicer.

We planted some of the flowers that we dug up this spring in the garden. We planted Coneflowers, Black-Eyed Susans, and two different colors of Campion.

Try not to look at the great piece of art that our very rude neighbor put behind our fence. (and he says our fence is an eye sore.)

This is what Chris's truck looked like by the end of the day. We have to go to the yard waste dump, but they are only open on Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings.

The yard looks great except for the areas that need some grass seed. :)

Everything certainly does look wonderful...I had to laugh when I read that your neighbour said your fence was an eyesore because I had just finished thinking what a beautiful white picket fence to have! lol Obviously he doesn't know what he's talking about! Pfffttt! xox

Do you make yard calls?!! My yard could use some of your hard work and creativity. It's beautiful and it must feel so good to have the project completed. Your neighbor needs to drive around and look at some of the other yards that are out there.

Looks great! Don't neighbors just SUCK?! Mine does, too, but my fence is a lot taller, which helps a lot. I'm growing vines to block my view of them even more, and at the non-fenced areas I put in thorny stuff like barberries, blackberry bushes, etc.. Heh....thorny plants make good neighbors ;-)

He thinks that cute little fence is an eyesore? He obviously has questionable taste, then! What a lot of work, to fill up that bed. Makes me feel bad for being tired over moving a few plants around. lol.

(btw, I love that stone edging on the flower bed. It's nicely scaled with the short, cute fence.)
