Antique!

When you look at my right hand, you may just see a ring. When I look at it, I see memories and love. This ring was given to me for my 16th birthday by my mother. It was my grandmothers engagement ring. My mother had the original stone (a diamond) removed and made into an earring. She had my birthstone (alexandrite) set in the ring. I really love the ring.

Oh Laurie, what a beautiful ring and such a treasure since it was your gran's engagement ring!! My gran's rings went to her oldest daughter after she passed away and now that daughter is gone as well but mom and I have no idea who has the rings now, probably one of the nieces! Hugs xox

It's beautiful and I know how much you must treasure it.
We divided my mother in law's engagement ring between my daughter and my son's wife. (one got the setting and one got the diamond set in a pendant.

awww...I used to have my Mamaw's engagement ring but it was too big for me and I foolishly kept it in my jewelry box...our house was broken into by 3 college kids two guys and a gal...the gal made off with my ring and it was never found!!
