Pearl CrescentChris and I went on a hike on Saturday to try out our new camera. We found a few things to take pictures of.
Band-Winged Meadowhawk ~ MaleWe went for a hike where Chris and my brother do a lot of their hunting. It is such a pretty area. We went to both ponds. Let me tell you, one pond was easier to get to than the other.
Ruby Meadowhalk ~ MaleWe didn't know that this is where we would end up. We both had shorts on, not too smart on our part. Our legs sure took a beating. Darn wild rose bushes.
Black Swallowtail ButterflyWe both enjoy going on these hikes. I just don't know why we don't do it more often.

They are one of my favorite things.
I can't seen to get a real good picture though. I will have to try harder.
