A Day To Remember!

Today was a day to remember. There is a group of motorcyclists that get together and visit the grave sites of fallen 'brothers' and 'sisters'. We were lucky enough to have an Uncle that is involved with this. He gave Kim a call and told him when they were going to be at our Dad's grave site today.

This looks like a scary picture with all the men and women dressed in black. These men and women have the biggest hearts. They are a family and would do anything for anyone. They have been there for our family more than once, and if we ever need anything, we know who to call.

There were 25 bikes, and most bikes had two people on them. We posted a video on Dad's blog and we will be posting pictures soon. Just click on Butch's Battle on the side bar.

We would like to thank all of the motorcyclists for making today a day to remember.

My son-in-law and daughter ride a Harley. In fact after their wedding they went to the reception on it... wedding dress and all! She was gathering the skirt of her tea length gown up around her thighs... you would have loved it! Yes, bikers stick together and are fine people.

I totally know what you are saying - my son is a biker and has the BEST of friends who are there to support him, they take care of each other - never met a nicer group. I'm so glad your Father was remembered and loved. And I'm so glad you recognize the value of these friends :-)

What a great gathering that must have been! It's so good that you could capture the pictures too. Your garden is looking so beautiful. And the fishing - my son and son-in-law would love that kind of a day! Happy Weekend to you!

My brother is a fallen brother. He and a friend were killed while riding there bike 30 years ago in Naples, Fl. A drunk in a truck pulled out right in front of them. I miss him every day.
Hugs,

This is the first time I have heard of a group of motorcyclists getting together and visiting the grave sites of fallen brothers and sisters. It is a wonderful thing to do.

My husband rides a Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle. He is a member of the Vulcan Riders and Owners Club (VROC). Last year a VROC member died of a heart attack. His daughter sent her father's ashes in plastic baggies to various VROC members in the world. My husband rode to Pittsburgh and together with other members of the Steel City VROC group scattered the ashes on the Ohio River. Other VROC members spread his ashes in Japan, Australia, Pike's Peak and possibly other places i don't know about.
