Every year Chris and I try to come up with something special to make our family that both of us are involved with. This year we made these snowmen. I did the stitcheries and Chris made the frames.
Chris made the frames out of barn board from the floor in our attic. We took the boards out to put insulation in. Then we painted them and he distressed them.
We made 10 of these all together. Chris cut out 11 frames just in case one broke when he was putting them together.

Laurie and Chris, what wonderful gifts. Something made with love from the bothof you. Very special. And Chris, a very sweet gift to Laurie, made all the more so because you didit all.
Chris you are an absolute dear to have done that for Laurie! And the whole project will mean so much to you all for years to come! Very neat!
These are totally adorable! I love snowmen (I can relate to their shape..) and I've been wanting to get into some needle work - this is a wonderful inspiration for me! Have a safe and fun New Year's Eve, my friends!

Now that's what I call perfect Christmas gifts:-) The snowmen are so adorable and those frames compliment them so well!! And wow, Chris even stitched one...well done:-) xoxo
Your snowmen are so cute and what neat gifts, especially where both of you created them. Where did you get the snowmen stitchery pattern? I would love to make some tea towels with them for next Christmas.
Karen ~ We weren't sure where to respond to your question. Most of the patterns I use are found by typing "stitchery" into google search and looking at free patterns.
Thanks...I'll try that. I don't have a blog, and didn't know whether to put my email address or not, so, I have just kept checking back every once in a while...Just saw your really cute snowmen ornaments. I seem to like a lot of the stuff you make! LOVE the calendars you have made for your mother. Showed that to my daughter last year and hinted, but it didn't work (she does photography). Oh well, maybe next year!
