Since it is was a nice day out today (mid 60's) and Laurie had the day off, we decided to work in the yard this morning.
We got the yard all raked and all of the patio furniture put away for the winter. The city should be by to pick up the leaves this week or next.
Most years we get the raking done and the city picks them up before the trees are even empty. Some years they are out picking them up in the snow.
We snapped a quick picture so we could remember what it looks like without leaves since it won't be that way for long. Our trees still have quite a bit of leaves left on them.

Looks like a lot of work! We can still burn leaves in our small town ans I love the smell of the burning leaves. I know I should use them for mulch or compost but am not set up for it. There is someting very satifying about seeing a clean yard where it was once littered with mounds o fallen leaves.
We don't have trees in our yard, but we borrow all the leaves from our neighbor's yards in our yard - HA- at least it seems that way! If I were there, there'd be NO WAY I wouldn't jump in that nicley raked pile! (then I'd help you re-rake it!)
