We have been trying to take a picture of this dove all summer long.
Every time we thought we could get a good shot it would move,
start to fly away or...
turn its head.

We finally got a good shot of it. We have at least two that keep coming around. They are such pretty birds.

Oh yes, I'd say you finally got a perfect shot of him/her:-) I love Mourning Doves and we have up to 24 here at times...they look like a bunch of chickens eating the seeds! lol They are such peaceful birds and I love their cooing. xox

Definitely a great shot of the dove. We have them at our house too - I love hearing them in the morning. Tess thinks she's a hunting dog - a birder, I guess! - she chases them when they land in the yard. (Luckily, no catches yet!)
I got a shot of a dove in a nest last spring...love their eyes!!
