Well they finished up with the sidewalk at the end of our street.
We're not quite sure why they put in a textured piece of metal on the corner. You would think that it would be more likely to be slippery or to freeze.
They leveled everything out.....
...and then they decided to take out another part of the curb. We don't know why they didn't do it at the same time as the rest of the concrete work. That's the city for you.
Mini Kitchen Update!!!
We ran the dishwasher for the first time last night. Oh how nice it is to have a clean sink. It may not be too exciting for some people, but this is our first time having a dishwasher. (other than Chris)

Yargh - the city project would be driving me crazy!! Hope they finish up soon for you guys!
When we got a new dishwasher this past winter, I did a post on it - so I get it!! I love just getting dirty dishes out of sight until I have a full load - so nice!
For the lenght of time it's taken for those city workers to do the sidewalk and now to take out another part of the curb makes me think no one in that group knows what he's doing!! Sheesh! I've never owned a dishwasher so I have no idea how you're feeling...I'm SO deprived!! hehe xox
Fix the sidewalk and now they want to fix the curb? Sounds frustrating.
So will that be the last of the sidewalk saga? I think I'll miss all the drama when they're done!
Congrats on the dishwasher. I'm pretty passionately in love with dishwashers myself. We're going to buy one for the new house. Yay!
