Bubble Blowing!

Everyone took turns blowing bubbles for Baby J. the other night. She thought it was really neat how she could touch them.
Baby J. and Daddy went into grandmas back yard while we stayed on the deck and blew bubbles for her. She was down below us so she could see them better.

The wind changed, so Daddy and Baby J. came back up stairs.

She would let out a little squeal every once in a while. It was so fun watching her. At one point Chris, Kim and Tabatha were all blowing bubbles and Baby J. wasn't even watching. Mom said "are you still blowing bubbles for baby J.?" (No just for Fun!!) We had all forgotten how much fun blowing bubbles is.

One bubble
shimmies
from the wand
to waltz around
the backyard lawn.
One fragile globe
of soapy skin--
a glimmering
of breath within
a perfect pearl,
I blow again!
One more bubble
squeezes through,
one blushing bead
of water-blue;
and then another
rinsed in pink
(shivering with pastel ink)
dances on
a summer sigh,
shimmering
with shades of sky
s-l-o-w-l-y slides
right out of sight;
backyard bubbles
taking flight.

Totally cool photos!! We blow bubbles for the dogs - they react like little kids! But I love how it makes me feel like a kid again. Fun!

I don't think I'll ever outgrow loving to blow bubbles! So precious to see Baby J's face while she's trying to catch the bubbles:-) That first picture is just amazing...looks like a magic filled bubble!! xox

What a perfect picture you got of the bubbles...children love them so and it looks like J is one of those!
Did you know that cats love them too and there is even some with catnip built in...
I enjoyed the poem too!

Now I learned (from EB) that bubble mix comes with catnip. I'll have to look for that. Do you suppose the grandkids would like it too ( wink wink)
Love the pics of Baby J!!
