Our Stockings!

This is a picture of our childhood stockings. We don't use them as stockings anymore, just as decorations.
This is Chris's stocking. The flap folds down and you fill both legs. Chris's Mom made it for him when he was little.

This one is mine. My aunts mother made it for me when I was a little girl.

I used to carry this one as a purse when I was younger. Old Gram (great grandmother) made it for me.

They are all hanging in our kitchen on pegs over our fridge and stove.

Oh, how adorable! I was wondering what the Santa was. It is so nice to have your childhood items. I am sure they bring back nice memories.

Karlanee, My sister and I both still have ours too, yep early 70's. Ours were store bought though, but they look exactly like these (Chris's), same snaps and toe tassle's too. I like them so much I made some for my kids, and nephews a few years back and had them embroidered with their names. I didn't like the fabric I used though, and if I ever find a better fabric to use, I'll probably make some to sell or give to needy children. They are too cute to keep all to myself. ;)
