Our life is a little goofy right now. Last Friday Laurie had an hour and a half meeting with her assistant manager about her job and the hours they want her to work. They say they are changing her hours because her department is doing so well. So she has to go from working a 7 hour shift Monday through Friday to working an 8 hour shift having a day off during the week and working Saturdays. No big deal to most people, but the only time we can spend time together is on the weekends. With dad in the hospital 2 hours away, the only time we can go see him is the weekend. After another meeting and lots of talking, she doesn't have to start working on Saturdays until after dad gets home from Roswell.
To make things worse, Chris just found out that he will have to change shifts at work too. A new company (Titan X) just bought Valeo and is making some changes. We are hoping that in the long run the changes will be for the good, but right now we don't feel that way. We are both very thankful that we both still have jobs, but aren't too happy about not seeing each other at all during the week.
