OH MY!!!

Some of you may know and some of you may not, but I work for Wal*Mart. I work in the floral department. Our Super Center opened recently so this is my first Valentine's Day in the department.
To my surprise, when I went in to work on Monday I got my FIRST Valentine's Day shipment.

I got in 36 cases of flowers. That is over 400 bouquets!!! (I am the only person that works in the department) :)

Tuesday when I went into work I was a little nervous to open the cooler doors to see what my order looked like. Thank goodness I didn't get anything else in. My friend Rhonda and I set up a display for the flowers and her baked goods. (Rhonda works in the bakery.) She got in 3 pallets of Valentine's product! I will set up another display on Wednesday. They are each 16 feet long, so that helps with the flowers. The pictures of the roses are from walmart.com. These are the roses I carry. Aren't they beautiful?

I hope we both get a LOT of sales!!

Romantic Night??

NO!!
No Power!!
While eating dinner last night and watching my tape the power went off. I thought I couldn't have blown a breaker, I wasn't using that much power. So I lit some candles.

Then I called Mom. No power there either. She said if it stays off too long come down here. It sounded good until I hung up the phone. I thought... I have no way down there. The car is in the garage and we have a electric garage door opener and no other way in. Mom called back after the power came on and my brother didn't have power either. That's not good with a baby in the house. (Yes that is mickey in the background. He is the only phone that isn't cordless.)

Any way the power was only off about an hour. THANK GOD!! The temperature in the house only dropped a few degrees. So I spent half the night fixing clocks and resetting VCRs. I didn't even get a chance to visit many Blogs.
Sorry I hope you understand :(

Spoiled Again!!

Well another weekend has come and gone, and my wife spoiled me again. She made home-made chicken and biscuits on Saturday, and my favorite sandwich from Lisa G's (our favorite restaurant in Lake Placid) on Sunday.
The chicken and biscuits is pretty self explanatory. Yummy chicken and biscuits with mashed potato's on the side. The sandwich is called the "Chicken B.L.T. & S.C.". It is a chicken breast on a sub roll topped with Swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato & smothered in garlic mayo. According to Lisa's menu, "the sandwich isn't really smothered. It's more like it has a pillowcase over it's head". Needless to say, I was stuffed both nights after eating :)

Gross!!!

This is a picture of my husbands hand after he got hurt at work. He went in for exploratory surgery and they found an aneurysm that had to be removed. The doctor that was doing the surgery had to call in a vascular surgeon to assist. He had never seen an aneurysm in the hand. He asked if he could take a few pictures and Chris told him only if I can have one. (yes he was awake and watched the whole thing!!)

Scrappin' Again!

The silver circles at the bottom of this page say "GROOM"

This is my favorite page so far. I love the colors and the quote. I got the quote from this scrapbook site. I just love it. It is from a country song by Tim McGraw. I am going to do some more pages this weekend. I will post them when I get them done.

Something New!

At Grandma's house on Monday when we had dinner, Baby J. tried something new.
A Fresh Food Feeder by Munchkin

This award-winning product allows your baby to enjoy lots of delicious foods without the choking risk. Simply put a piece of fruit, vegetable or meat into the mesh bag and snap shut. Your baby can chew, suck and enjoy all the whole food goodness and taste, with only the tiniest, digestible pieces coming through. Your baby gets great flavor and you get great peace of mind! Have you seen one of these before?

It was so funny to watch her. She was a little sticky when she was done. We put a piece of a pear in it and when she was done the pear was dry. No more juice in it. We think it helped her with her teeth that are trying to come in too.
