For the past 4 years, our family has been renting a cabin (or two) at Allegany State Park on Columbus Day weekend. We have been going to Allegany on Columbus Day for around 30 years, maybe even longer. We have a big picnic and everyone brings a dish to pass. We spend the day eating, playing and eating some more. It seems that a lot of our family has stopped coming due to the fact that most of them have moved out of town. When we were younger, Mom always said how nice it would be to rent a cabin for the weekend, so 4 years ago we finally did. There have been a few years that we have had snow on picnic day. We are sure hoping that we have nice weather this year.Monday, October 04, 2010
The Countdown Begins!
