Stinkin' Good!

Yesterday we went on a road trip. We went to Cuba, NY to their 5th Annual Garlic Festival. We had never heard of the festival (until we saw a sign) and decided it would be fun to go.

We waited in line in the car for about 20 minutes to get into the festival at Empire City Farms. We could smell the food from our car.

It wasn't very busy when we first got to the festival. There were over 90 vendors selling crafts, food and tons of garlic and garlic products.

Here are 2 pictures of some very cute little girls.

Aren't their costumes adorable?

We taste tested several garlic items... such as garlic wine, garlic mustard, garlic stuffed olives, garlic balsamic vinegar (we bought some of this) and fresh German and Italian Garlic. (holy hot)

They even had garlic festival T-shirts. Mr. T-shirt had to bring one home.

We couldn't get many pictures since this is what the crowd looked like shortly after we got there.

If it sounds interesting, it was.

Check out their website.

What a wonderful festival to just drop in on! We've been through Cuba several times. We stop and pick up cheese whenever we pass through. I hadn't heard of a garlic festival either. BTW I would have picked up a t-shirt too!
