Bloomin' Tuesday!

Rose Of Sharon!

We have one Rose of Sharon in our garden. It was started from one of Chris's grandfather's trees. When it starts to bloom, we always say that Grandpa is smiling down on the garden.

I had to put a close up of the center on.

Two different rose bushes.

This is a small bud from one of my miniature rose bushes. I dug it up this year and put it in a clay pot. It didn't seem to like where it was before. I guess it likes its new home.

First bloom of the year. I wasn't sure if this rose bush was going to do anything this year. It surprised me with this pretty bloom!

Altheas are so easy to root in the early spring. I love thelong flowering season of them. Oh, if only I could grow roses like you.

The Rose of Sharon looks like Hibiscus in a way. Beautiful colors, both on the Rose of Sharon and also the red rose.

Your Rose of Sharon is a pretty one. We have one on the corner of our house that I purchased as a small plant at a yard sale. Now, it is quite the tall bush. Someone told us that a Rose of Sharon's roots really are troublesome and spread deep and wide and that we'd never get it up if we needed to move it. So far, so good. I don't plan on changing locations! Thanks for sharing yours.
