Have any of you seen these purple boxes hanging in the trees and wondered what they were?
It turns out they are traps for Emerald Ash Borers. The emerald ash borer is responsible for the destruction of over 50 million ash trees in the U.S. since its discovery in Michigan.

That's very interesting!
We see these all over the place here in MD, PA, and WV. But they are purple. Never knew what they were for.
