Some of these pictures were taken at Mom's house on Saturday after her surprise dinner. The rest were taken in our gardens.

Most of the people that were at the surprise party had been into Mom's shop to get their hair done. Thank goodness none of them slipped.
Mom was totally shocked when we walked into the restaurant and there were 30 people there to celebrate her birthday.
It isn't an easy task to hide stuff from Mom. All 4 of us had a difficult time with it, so we tried to stay away from her. Read more about her birthday surprises HERE and HERE.
There was a young person named Jean
The Spider Wort is in full bloom right now, it is so pretty. Here is a close up of the flower for you.
I have three different colors of Dianthus in my rose garden. I was able to get pictures of two of them.
The third one is white and I have a very hard time getting good pictures of white flowers for some reason.
This is my first rose for the season. It smells so good. It is a light lavender color.

This one looks like a lawn ornament. They stayed completely still when they heard us. The only thing that moved every once in a while was their ears.

We watched this little guy from our kitchen window. He is going after my new bird feeder that was supposed to be chipmunk proof.
Well it isn't!!
This little guy just came out from our garage. Great! Where are they putting the seed?
Chris built this live trap for mom a few years ago, so he called her and asked if she was using it.
We have caught 3 chipmunks so far. We saw another one in the yard today. We let them free at a park close to our house.
Monday morning the trap was empty but was moved across the lawn and the food was gone.

A walk around the neighborhood.
The wild roses are in bloom. I love that a wild plant gives off such a wonderful scent.
We aren't sure what kind of plant this is. The seed ball is about the size of a baseball.
This tiny white flower is no bigger than your pinkie finger nail.
Here is a different type of Daisy. They are about the size of a quarter and the petals are very thin.

When we got home Chris took the back tire off to see what he could find. He found that the brakes were worn down to the metal. If he changed them now they wouldn't ruin the rotors. So he made some phone calls to see who had them in stock.
We went and got the new brakes. We got home and Chris was all set to change them. Next thing I knew he was back in the house making a phone call. They gave him the wrong brakes. Back to the store he went.
With all of the running around, he got the brakes done in a couple of hours. Thank God he knows how to do all this stuff or we would be in a lot of trouble.
We went for a walk the other night and these daisies were growing in our neighbors yard.
I had to stop and take a few pictures of them.
Daisies are one of my favorites.
