Gazing Balls!

While Mom and I were on our Secret Garden Tour I got an idea when I saw this first gazing ball. Neither of us really like our picture taken which a lot of times I regret. I was standing in front of this gazing ball and Mom came over to talk to me while I was taking the picture. Little did she know I was sneaking a picture of us together doing one of our favorite things.

They may not be the best pictures, but now I have a couple of unique pictures of Mom and I together. Have you taken any sneaky pictures of your family members? If you have let us know if you post them.

Oh, you sneaky, clever girl. Very cool what you did.

I don't think I have a digital file of the image where I tricked someone but the result was very cool (it was in the days of film).

My sister has an unusual name and she was dating a guy named Matt. We were by the river near some limestone bluffs when we found where someone had carved her name plus Matt inside a heart.

I tried to get her to stand next to it for a photo but she wouldn't so I set my camera for double exposure and photographed the wall and later photographed her against the bluff at another location. The result was eerie - she looked like a ghost trapped in the limestone wall. Unfortunately you could only see the names if you really knew what you were looking for.

What a sneaky way to get a picture of you with your mom. But that is pretty clever too. I like the gazing balls and your father's special room was cool. My Dad would of liked a room like that.

Hmmmm, maybe that's what I should have done when my daughter in law refused to let me take a picture of her pregnant...sneak one in on the gazing ball! lol Love it!! I can't believe the stuff your dad collected...he was as bad as I am! lol As you say, if it was there, it means it meant something to him so I can well imagine how hard it is for you and Kim to figure out what to do with it all. xoxo

Laurie, I had another laugh at myself when I read this post. I was going to take a pic of our new gazing ball last year. I kept circling it, not wanting to be in the pic. Like I was going to find a side that didn't reflect me! ROFL! I didn't take a pic. The secret garden you visited is beautiful. I love the birdhouses in another post.
