My Husband!!!

Years ago I never would have thought that my husband would do this kind of thing, but ever since we bought our digital camera he surprises me sometimes. He was outside working and I was on the phone with mom when he comes inside, grabs the camera and heads back out the door. Next thing I know, he is out back by our bushes snapping pictures. It was pretty funny watching him run around from one side of the bushes to the other and crawling around on the ground trying to get the perfect shot.

All of the pictures were of this Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly. I think he took about 30 pictures of it. When he got done, he came in the house and said "I think I got some good ones". What do you think?

Wonderful pix! We've been seeing this kind of flutterby in our back yard, but didn't know what they're called. Thanks!

Laurie, I think he's caught the 'bug' (pun intended), photography bug. Great pictures of the Swallow Tail. Anything that flys is so diificult to capture a picture of, so he did very well, indeed.

I think his photos are wonderful - butterflies can be difficult to photograph.

I will do the random things the next time I post.

those are perfect pictures!

I use butterflies to decorate my classroom for open house, so these are great for patterns.

What beautiful pictures!! Butterflies can be so elusive but these certainly cooperated. Photography does become a hobby for the whole family - and that's a great thing :))
