Green Thumb Sunday!

These are some pictures that we took a few weeks ago. We aren't sure what they are but we think they are some kind of Sunflower. We were thinking maybe a Morning Sun or Lodden Gold. If anyone knows for sure please let us know.

Enjoy your GTS!

I don't know what they are, but they are a cheerful sight! The top photo is especially nice.

What a cheery beautiful flower. So bright and vibrant. They have brought alittle bit of Summer back to this dreary evening. Sara from farmingfriends

Hi Laurie,
I think you have Rudbeckia laciniata, 'Golden Glow'.

They are certainly cheerful flowers.

Very happy flowers. They look almost like some giant coreopsis.
Enjoy.

They are sunny... this was someone else's mystery flower a few weeks back, and I believe that it came out there that they are known as the "outhouse flower" because they were often planted with hollyhocks and other tall flowering plants around outhouses back in the day!

Oh I love those pretty things. I'm glad Zoey told us what the name is, i would have made a wild guess at Coriopsis (sp??)
Thanks for popping in to see my Garden Tour pix.
