We decided to go get mulch this morning since it was going to be nice and cool out. Since we need so much we usually just get a whole truck load.
Chris called around yesterday to see who had the best price for it. Most places sell it by the cubic yard. (3'x3'x3') Most of the places he called were $30-$40 per yard. He called our favorite greenhouse and they said they had it for $10 a yard.
Here is Mr. Tate loading us up. He loaded 2 1/2 - 3 yards in the truck.
When all was said and done, he only wanted $15 for the truckload. We told him that we may be back because we were going to see if mom wanted mulch.
We took one load to moms and unloaded it onto a tarp so that it is waiting for her when she has time to work on it. Then we went back for another load.
We ended up with about 6 yards all together and only paid $30. That it what we would have paid for one yard anywhere else. We got most of our mulching done today. We just have a little bit left to do tomorrow morning before the race.

Hmmm...and where's MY delivery???? Wow, you guys really did get a great deal on that mulch!! It was much cooler here too today but I'd rather that then that terrible heat we'd been having. Enjoy the race tomorrow:-) xox
That is a real bargain price for mulch. It was nice of you to take some to your Mom's too :)
