Secret Gardens Tour #6

The final stop of the tour is the Metzler garden. The Metzler garden is a shade garden.

This is one of the first planters you see when you enter the garden. Mom and I love the patina on this planter.

Here is another photo of a pond. Look close and you can see his koi swimming around.

What a cool arrangement Mr. Metzler made out of greens from his garden. The whole shade garden has a rock floor like the one pictured here.

Don't you just love the little sitting area?

How about this garden gate. This is in a new lot next to Mr. Metzlers house that he is turning into a wonderful garden area. He uses many antique items in his garden that are different than what you expect to see in a garden.

Mystery Plant......
Mom and I aren't sure what this plant is. We thought it was a turtles head but when we looked it up in our books it didn't sound like it was the right plant.

Do you have any idea what this could be?

We hope you have enjoyed our week long garden tour. Mom and I really enjoy doing this every year.

I can identify with all this shade. The last 3 houses we've lived in have had lots of shade. I'm always buying impatiens :)
