We had a hard time picking which pictures to use for this weeks photo hunt, but we think we choose the right ones. All three pictures were taken in the Adirondacks.
This is mirror lake. On a calm day the lake is so clear and smooth it looks just like a mirror. You can fish in mirror lake but you can't use live bait. No motor boats are allowed on mirror lake. That is why it stay so clean and clear.
This is a place we stopped at to do a little hiking. You wouldn't believe how fast this water was traveling. The sound was so loud. It was amazing just to stand a listen to it. It is hard to believe that the water carved out the rocks like this..jpg)
This is another photo of mirror lake from a different spot of the lake. You can walk around the lake on a "bike path". It is 2.5 miles all the way around. We have blown this photo up and have it in our Computer/Scrapbook room, so we see it every day.If you click on the pictures they will enlarge.

Another place for my "To Be Visited" List! And I live so close by. Is that Ausable Chasm (spelling?) It looks familiar from photos I have seen. A very popular spot I have learned.
WOw, these are stunning shots. Must be near or in the adirondacks by chance? We have family up that way and the hikes are just goregeous.
I particularly like the last photo, the framing is beautiful and the lake is so calm. Very peaceful shot.

I agree, the framing of that last photo is perfect...I would have blown that up too. I also LOVE the middle pic. How cool is that? I can hear the water now...oh wait that is the rain outside my window..lol Great shots!!
