Do you ever see something that reminds you of someone special?
The other day while I was at work I kept walking by a display of cookies and I would think of my Old Gram! ( Yes! We called our Great ~ Grandmother "Old Gram". It was in a loving way!)
Old Gram always had a tin of these cookies in the house. These were her special cookies.
Old Gram was a great person that loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to have her family around her and loved to play cards, but if she wasn't winning watch out!!
We used to go to Old Grams and play a card game we called "spite and malice". You would know the game by the name of skip~bo. Anyway, we played with pennies and I can still hear Old Gram yell "PENNY!!!"
I bought these cookies to see if they still tasted like I remembered them. They taste the same, but they're just not the same without Old Gram.

What a wonderful post about your Gram...I remember my gran also buying those tins of cookies, my favourites were always the ones with the sugar sprinkled on them:-)
What a lovely blog you have.. I had a little chuckle about you calling skip-bo, 'spite and malice' sounds like they are gorgeous memories for you...of your 'Old Gram'..
