Bloomin' Tuesday!

We thought we would show you some bright spring color this week for Bloomin' Tuesday.

These roses grow wild across the street from where we live. They smell amazing.

The blooms don't seem to last very long and they are very fragile.

The color is so pretty in person.

I Got Her!

Finally!

This dove finally stayed in the bird feeder when I went outside to try to get pictures of her. Most of the time when they hear the door open, they fly off.

She must have been really hungry or way too cold to fly away this time.

She was definitely keeping an eye on me to make sure I stayed my distance.

I'm Spoiled!

My wife made me a very delicious dinner last night.

Homemade Alfredo Sauce...

Shells...

stuffed with Ricotta, Spinach, Artichokes and Mozzarella.

Holy Cow, that's a lot of food!

Doesn't it look even better after coming out of the oven?

I could only manage to eat 6 shells and 4 pieces of Italian Bread. Oh well, at least there are left overs.

Flash Back!

Chris and I had pancakes for breakfast today, and I used the last of this syrup. I said to Chris "oh my goodness, this just reminded me of grams house". He gave me a bit of a funny look. I said "when you see this empty syrup bottle I'm sure you don't see the same thing I see". When we were growing up and spent time at Grams (Super Lou's) we used this kind of bottle as our squirt guns. Gram would save her empty bottles for us. On hot summer days we would get into water fights with our "special guns". Oh how Gram would crack up watching us running around the yard squirting each other. Oh to be a kid again. Back when it was fun to skateboard down the "BIG" hill, to play kick ball and freeze tag with all of the neighbor kids in the side yard. Super Bowl Dinner!

For dinner last night during the game we had Greek Chicken Fingers with homemade Feta Dip and deep fried Onion Petals. That doesn't sound like a lot, but we had Buffalo Chicken Dip for a snack just a few hours before dinner. The Greek Chicken Fingers were really tasty. We were introduced to Greek Chicken Wings in the Adirondacks at our favorite restaurant Lisa G's, and thought we would try the sauce on chicken fingers.

Snowy Sunday!

Welcome to what will probably be our last "Snowy Sunday". We haven't had too many participants over the past 7 weeks and have decided to stop hosting it. We will probably still post winter pictures on Sundays, or it may turn into racing.
