Just a couple of pictures we took today. You can tell it is getting cooler out because the bees are moving a lot slower. We can't believe it is already the last day of August. Next thing you know, fall will be here, and then winter :(

Computer Blues

This is the way we felt all last week! Hopefully everything is straightened out now. DSL works great when it is working the correct way.

Finally Back!

We have been having some problems getting switched over to DSL. We think it is finally fixed. Our garage sale went pretty good this weekend even though it rained most of the day Sunday. Of course Mom made the most money. That always seems to happen as she is saying "I don't have that much stuff to sell this time." We all enjoyed spending family time together ;)

This coming weekend is our garage sale. After the work that we have done so far this year, we will hopefully be heading up north to the Adirondacks. These are a couple of pictures from our trips in 2002 & 2004. We really enjoy getting away from everything and spending some time away from the big city. We are ready for a little R&R.

Here are some pictures of a dog house my husband and brother built for my brother and sister-in-laws dog Princess. They spent 4-5 hours building it out of some scrap wood out of our attic. They must have figured "as long as it's free, we might as well do it right." By the time they were done, it almost didn't fit it the back of the truck to take it to my brothers house. They sure did get a laugh out of it when they stood back and realized how big it was. It took 3 of them to lift it over the fence, since it wouldn't fit through the gate. Princess seems to be enjoying it.

More Flowers

Just another picture I took of my garden. I love coneflower's and Black-eyed susans. I can't believe it is already the middle of August. The weather is finally the way I like it. I hope it stays around for a while.

A Gift

Mom went to a household sale on Monday and bought me a gift. Most people may think that it's a strange gift, but there is meaning behind it, and a lot of great childhood memories. It is an old fashioned pump. The camp our family used to go to when my brother and I were younger had a pump just like this one, only it was red. I will have to refinish this one, so it will be red too. Thank you for the great gift mom!! I can't wait to see it in one of my gardens!!

Mom's Favorite

This is one of Mom's favorite flowers. The first picture is looking up at it. The flower / plant is Solomon's -Seal. It got about 4 feet tall this year. This plant is in her shade garden in her back yard.

Free Bench!

Another Balloon !

When we left walmart Friday night this hot air balloon was over the parking lot. We were lucky to have the camera with us. We can't believe that there wasn't a cloud in the sky. We finished the deck today. It took us a day and a half to put sealer on it! But it's done!! :)

Paperbag Album!

This is a picture of a paperbag album I made for my father so he has pictures of the new baby to show his friends. I also made one for my brother that says "Daddy's Little Girl". They are a very inexpensive gift. You can use your scrap paper. I put pictures we took in both albums. My brother loved his, I'm sure my father will love his also.

Rose Of Sharon

This is the first bloom on Grandpas Rose of Sharon. We love the color of it. We have alot of baby rose of sharon trees coming. It always feels like grandpa is smiling down on us when one of his plants is in bloom. He was always so proud of his gardens.

We took this dragonflies picture on our deck railing. It was sitting in the same spot for at least 25- 30 minutes. It was probably trying to soak up some sun now that it has cooled off outside. We have been enjoying the cooler temperatures too. :) Hopefully it stays like this for the rest of the summer!!

Sky Jam

These are pictures from the sky jam glow Saturday night. It is really neat to see in person. I don't think I would dare to go up in one, but they are beautiful to look at.

Color Accent

We have been trying out new settings on our camera. We figured out how to use this one over the weekend. It is called color accent. You can set the camera to highlight one certain color in a picture, and everything else stays black and white. We thought it was pretty cool.

FINALLY!!!

We took these pictures at Moms house this summer. This is one of three clematis she has. This one got blooms bigger then your hand this year. It was so pretty. We are going to go to the Home depot today to get four more boards for the skirting around the bottom of the deck. They didn't have enough last Saturday. If we get them today the Deck will be DONE!!! We just have to get it sealed. We are also going to try and get some yard work done.

What The.....

Sorry we haven't updated in a while. We have been trying every night, but for some reason we haven't been able to put pictures on. By the time we try and can't get them down loaded we are upset so we don't even write.

Summer HEAT!

Our summer hasn't been the greatest for enjoying the outdoors. We don't like the heat! We live in our air conditioned house most of the time. We don't leave unless we have to. I guess we have to work :( The gardens seem to enjoy the hot moist air. They really look nice from our windows. Looks like it is supposed to cool down for the weekend. We have work to catch up on out there.
