Chris and I had pancakes for breakfast today, and I used the last of this syrup. I said to Chris "oh my goodness, this just reminded me of grams house". He gave me a bit of a funny look. I said "when you see this empty syrup bottle I'm sure you don't see the same thing I see". When we were growing up and spent time at Grams (Super Lou's) we used this kind of bottle as our squirt guns. Gram would save her empty bottles for us. On hot summer days we would get into water fights with our "special guns". Oh how Gram would crack up watching us running around the yard squirting each other. Oh to be a kid again. Back when it was fun to skateboard down the "BIG" hill, to play kick ball and freeze tag with all of the neighbor kids in the side yard. We used to have so much fun that cost us practically nothing!!! To read more about Super Lou's click HERE.

I don't know what it is about winter, but I always think about going "home for supper"... but that home is long gone now,... but not in my heart. Aren't memories grand?
Awwww what a wonderful memory to have when you see an empty maple syrup bottle like that. So often I wish we could go back to those simple days...kids today don't know the meaning of the word "fun" anymore!! xoxo
