We would like to thank everyone that e~mailed and left such nice comments for us to read during this hard time in our life. We are all doing pretty good. We have started to go through Dads stuff this week. It hasn't been as hard as we thought it was going to be. Dad collected a lot of different things. One of his biggest collections is his shot glass collection. He has at least 1000 shot glasses. We went through most of them today. It was hard to pick and choose. The shot glasses have been in our lives for many many years. I always said "I'm not going to want any of those". Wow how things change.

Laurie, I know this is a hard time for all of you. But spending time with family and friends helps. Just remember to take care of yourselves.
Take care Laurie. You are still in our thoughts and prayers.
I know...when my Dad passed, I wanted some of his stamp collection - nothing worth anything -but something he was interested in. What I treasure now more isanything that has his handwriting on - old envelopes, a letter written to me once, you know, silly little treasures! Glad to hear you're doing OK - keeping you all in my prayers.
Colleen
Things do change don't they. Like the terribly ugly blanket from my Grandma that graces my couch and which I use almost every time I watch a movie.
You sound as if you are dealing with your grief in a healthy and wholesome way.
You will find, I am sure, that your Dad will be in your thoughts at the most surprising times - it is a great comfort.
