Too Young!
So she tried again. Still no luck. She was stuck at Uncle Chris and Aunt Laurie's until Mommy and Daddy were done bowling.
Tabatha got a new cell phone and since Jerzie liked Mommy and Daddy's cell phones so much, they let her play with the old one. It was so funny watching her play with it. She acted like she knew what she was doing :)

It's About Time!!
This area used to have a small orange blossom bush. We lost that also. We can't wait to see if we get grass or not before winter. They say it isn't too late to plant it. We will keep a close eye on it and see what happens. We should have a nice green lawn next spring :)

Hard To Believe!
We have had Sedum in other gardens but didn't remember any of them growing like these.
Some of the clusters of flowers are 6-8" across.
We love the colors and detail of the tiny flowers.
We can't wait to see what they do next year when the have the whole season to grow.

Green Thumb Sunday!
What a surprise I got while walking through the gardens this week. I didn't remember planting any of these. I didn't even know that you could grow them. Of course I had the camera with me and had to take some pictures after I finished laughing. I wonder if they came with the new mulch? Who knows?

Garage Sale!
Then I found this pot. I love the shape and color. It is a little too small around.
So I had to ask Chris to rig something up for me so that it didn't look funny. After we get it rigged and a plant put in it I will take some more photos. Chris thinks he should take it to work to sand blast it and put powder coat on it to make it look new. I think it should stay the way it is.
What do you think?

How Bad!
I was wearing an old navy flag T-shirt. Alexis did get it but it took a little longer than the first one. She made sure she wrote her Uncle Chris a note. I hung it on the bathroom mirror so he would get it before he went to bed. The note said "I Love You Uncle Chris, Alexis"
Our nieces are just getting way too big way too fast!

Green Thumb Sunday!
These are some pictures that we took a few weeks ago. We aren't sure what they are but we think they are some kind of Sunflower. We were thinking maybe a Morning Sun or Lodden Gold. If anyone knows for sure please let us know.
Enjoy your GTS!

Busy Bees!
Sounds easy enough right?
Well not so easy....
You know the great pictures everyone takes of these cute little guys?
Well they aren't so cute!!
They had built a nest in the ground under our steps. One day Mom came and picked me up and I saw a bee go under the steps so I made sure I told Chris. We found out where they were living.
Instead of building the sides for the steps, this is what we did most of the afternoon. No that isn't the hose. It is long shot Bee spray. We were VERY LUCKY that neither one of us got stung. (Chris is allergic so I was really worried about him!)
Look at all the Bee spray on the ground. I ran around the house and found every can that I could find and not one was full. We went to the hardware store and bought 4 more cans and most of that is gone. We probably killed close to 200 bees in two days! Neither one of us got hurt. I just had a small headache because of the spray and my chemical allergies, but it went away once I got inside in the A/C.
On Sunday we got the step sides painted while still killing bees. The nest it covered so we hope they won't return.
The sides of the steps look so much better. Now we have to decide on a railing since it is code in our area. I like the open feel and no one uses the front anyway.
See that little guy still flying around? I don't think he is flying anymore. We just want to say Sorry to all you Bee lovers!!
