Well, this was one of the first things to come to mind when we saw the subject for this weeks Photo Hunter. We had some ice damage to our old deck and had to rebuild it. It was definitely BROKEN! The ice came off of the roof and smashed the deck. It broke the main supports and tore it away from the house. It dropped about 18-20 inches. Chris and I removed the rest of it and built a new one. Oh dear, good thing no one was standing there when the ice fell on the deck! Glad you were able to get it all fixed:-)
Looks like the new one was even better, so maybe it was a blessing in disguise!!!

Nature is awesome. Amazing what it can do to these so-called stable things that we build.
