Look how far music has come since 1878 when the phonograph was invented. By 1910 the 10-inch (25.4cm) record was by far the most popular standard, holding about three minutes of music. This ipod model can hold up to 2000 songs.
Wow we have come along way!!

Yes, it really does boggle the mind at how far technology has gotten where music is concerned. Now I feel old since I remember the 8 track tapes! lol Hugs xoxo
great selection. i still have records but no longer have any 8tracks.
Great creativity on this post!!!
:-D
I got rid of tape and went completely digital about3 years ago. I like phonograph records, but I never liked tape.
Remember the auto's 8 track tapes?
We've truly advanced. But when you think about it, the way things come and go these days....even an mp3 will be obsolete soon.
Mine's posted.
Happy weekend.
That was fun!
Good idea!
Great idea for a post on technology!
It IS amazing how far we have come!! What an awesome take on today's theme!!! I love it :-)
In the 70's/80's when I was a kid/teen - I don't think we had a clue or ever dreamed of things like the Ipod, DVD's, laptop computers, handhelds like BlackJack or Blackberry. It's unreal how technology out does itself on a daily basis!
What a great collection. Records were made in 1878? WOW!
I played too.

What a wonderful photograph! You have a really nice blog, too!
The changes are amazing, especially in the last twenty years or so. Seems something new comes out every month or two!
:)
I like this montage. I guess we've come quite a ways.
I still have a few very, very old records that are slower than 33 1/3 in speed. Now there is nothing out there to play them.
Welcome to the photo hunt.
Very good photo for the theme! Mine is up now too, please visit me
