Bloomin' Tuesday!

Berries and Weeds
We don't have anything we haven't already shown you blooming this week, so I took a little walk in the neighborhood and this is what I found.
Golden Rod
Not sure what these blue berries are.
Wild Aster
I think these are the same blue berries.
Rose hips from the wild roses.
Not sure what this is either.

Stinkin' Good!

Yesterday we went on a road trip. We went to Cuba, NY to their 5th Annual Garlic Festival. We had never heard of the festival (until we saw a sign) and decided it would be fun to go.

We waited in line in the car for about 20 minutes to get into the festival at Empire City Farms. We could smell the food from our car.

It wasn't very busy when we first got to the festival. There were over 90 vendors selling crafts, food and tons of garlic and garlic products.

Here are 2 pictures of some very cute little girls.

Aren't their costumes adorable?

We taste tested several garlic items... such as garlic wine, garlic mustard, garlic stuffed olives, garlic balsamic vinegar (we bought some of this) and fresh German and Italian Garlic. (holy hot)

They even had garlic festival T-shirts. Mr. T-shirt had to bring one home.

We couldn't get many pictures since this is what the crowd looked like shortly after we got there.

If it sounds interesting, it was.

Check out their website.

What The HELL!!!

We had to take the car in to have a problem with the heater/air conditioning control fixed. Is this the kind of work people get for $75.00 an hour?

Notice the pry marks on the dashboard?

How about the scratches and gouges in the corner?

What about the chunk taken out of the trim panel?

Or maybe the ones up here and the little chipped pieces left behind.

How about the scratches in the paint on the outside? What did they do, put their tool box on the hood of the car?

This is the reason that I usually do repair work myself. Unfortunately this was a problem with a computer board that had to be fixed at the dealer. It's like they don't even care about other peoples property.

Bloomin' Tuesday!

We don't have very much blooming right now. Here are a couple of the blooms that we do have.

I know these aren't blooms, but we enjoy the colors of the fall leaves.

It does seem a little too early for the leaves to be changing.

Nature's Beauty!

We were on a "nature hunt" last weekend when we saw these deer. Laurie took the video. We were both surprised by how long they stayed.

Bloomin' Tuesday!

Rose Of Sharon!

We have one Rose of Sharon in our garden. It was started from one of Chris's grandfather's trees. When it starts to bloom, we always say that Grandpa is smiling down on the garden.

I had to put a close up of the center on.

Two different rose bushes.

This is a small bud from one of my miniature rose bushes. I dug it up this year and put it in a clay pot. It didn't seem to like where it was before. I guess it likes its new home.

First bloom of the year. I wasn't sure if this rose bush was going to do anything this year. It surprised me with this pretty bloom!
