Visiting!

When I got out of work on Friday, Chris and I stopped to see the girls. We hadn't seen them since the baby came home.

We both held Payton in the hospital, but forgot to take pictures.

We don't think Jerzie is too sure about sharing her Uncle Chris.

Jerzie's daddy was tickling her in this picture. You should have heard the giggles.

Payton was asleep most of the time, but did wake up for a little while.

It is hard to believe that Jerzie was ever this tiny.

Busy Week!

Wow! It has been a busy week here. We are sorry we haven't kept up with our blog very well this week. We haven't really had a chance to visit either.

Laurie's work had inventory today. Since she does her inventory monthly she helped another department manager this week. That department was the freezer department. Between lifting more than what she is used to and freezing all day, she was beat when she got home this week.

Chris has had a lot of tests this week, so his free time has been spent studying for his exams. All of his studying sure has paid off. He got a 103.5% on his Algebra test, a 100% on his English Composition test and said that he did very well on his Welding test. He will get the score for that one next Tuesday.

We hope to get caught up over the weekend.

Bloomin' Tuesday!

We thought we would show you some pictures we took back in 2007. We went to Cleveland for a day. To see why click HERE.

When looking back on the older post, we noticed that we didn't post a lot of these Orchid pictures.

We went to Rockefeller Park Greenhouse. It was really neat to walk around.

There were lots of men working in the greenhouse planting Easter Lilies and spring flowers.

The lighting seemed perfect for the pictures.

We never realized how much detail there was in an Orchid until we started taking pictures of them.

We hope you enjoyed the Orchids.

Happy Bloomin' Tuesday!

Yea! It's race day.
That means lots of relaxing and too much food.

We hope the race today is better than the race was last weekend.

Darn that Mother Nature.

Bloomin' Tuesday!

Mom bought us these two African Violets a few weeks ago, so we thought we would show you all of the blooms they have.

The colors are so bright.

They really make you wish spring would hurry up and get here!

Not Again!

It warmed up enough for the ice on the roof to finally start melting. We always get a little nervous when this happens.

We had a bad experience with this a few years ago. Click HERE to read what happened.

Thank goodness a lot of it melted before it fell. Half of the ice fell while we were eating dinner, and the other half fell about midnight and woke me from a sound sleep.

Nothing got damaged this time!!

Bloomin' Tuesday!

We thought we would show you some bright spring color this week for Bloomin' Tuesday.

These roses grow wild across the street from where we live. They smell amazing.

The blooms don't seem to last very long and they are very fragile.

The color is so pretty in person.

I Got Her!

Finally!
This dove finally stayed in the bird feeder when I went outside to try to get pictures of her. Most of the time when they hear the door open, they fly off.

She must have been really hungry or way too cold to fly away this time.

She was definitely keeping an eye on me to make sure I stayed my distance.

I'm Spoiled!

My wife made me a very delicious dinner last night.

Homemade Alfredo Sauce...

Shells...

stuffed with Ricotta, Spinach, Artichokes and Mozzarella.

Holy Cow, that's a lot of food!

Doesn't it look even better after coming out of the oven?

I could only manage to eat 6 shells and 4 pieces of Italian Bread. Oh well, at least there are left overs.

Thanks Honey

Flash Back!

Chris and I had pancakes for breakfast today, and I used the last of this syrup. I said to Chris "oh my goodness, this just reminded me of grams house". He gave me a bit of a funny look. I said "when you see this empty syrup bottle I'm sure you don't see the same thing I see". When we were growing up and spent time at Grams (Super Lou's) we used this kind of bottle as our squirt guns. Gram would save her empty bottles for us. On hot summer days we would get into water fights with our "special guns". Oh how Gram would crack up watching us running around the yard squirting each other. Oh to be a kid again. Back when it was fun to skateboard down the "BIG" hill, to play kick ball and freeze tag with all of the neighbor kids in the side yard. We used to have so much fun that cost us practically nothing!!! To read more about Super Lou's click HERE.
